Large-scale storage with 40 MWh: intelligent trading, stable grids

With another large-scale storage facility in Tangermünde, Obton A/S is expanding its German storage portfolio with another strategically located project in the 50Hertz control area. The front-of-the-meter storage facility, with a power capacity of 15.8 MW and an energy capacity of 32 MWh, contributes to local grid stability and enables cost-effective marketing on short-term markets.

Entelios is responsible for automated cross-market optimisation, including participation in the PRL and SRL balancing energy markets and active management on the day-ahead and intraday markets. Intelligent control maximises revenues while making a useful contribution to the energy transition.
