This year’s team event took our team to Berlin. Colleagues from Munich travelled to the capital, where many of them were getting to know our new Berlin office for the first time. The two-day event was all about sharing ideas, gaining new perspectives and sharing experiences. It quickly became clear what makes Entelios special: a growing team, open discussions and the desire to improve together.
Arriving, getting to know one another and looking ahead together
After arriving, the first item on the agenda was a tour of our new Berlin office. Over a cup of coffee, there was plenty of time for initial conversations and for handing out the new Entelios collection, including new T-shirts and towels.
We then looked back together on the past few months. The individual business units presented their projects, shared successes, spoke openly about challenges and gave an outlook on upcoming topics. Once again, it became clear just how diverse our tasks and areas of expertise are. It is precisely this face-to-face exchange that helps us to better understand the bigger picture, learn from one another and take new ideas with us.
Over pizza together the discussions continued, accompanied by laughter and stories. For many, it was a good opportunity to get to know new faces better and to strengthen existing relationships outside of video calls.
A summer evening on the EUREF Campus
In the evening, the focus shifted from professional discussions to shared experiences. On the EUREF Campus, we rounded off the day in a relaxed manner by the pool before firing up the barbecue and enjoying the summer evening in a laid-back atmosphere.
Inspiration from Frank Busemann
The second day began with a real highlight. Former decathlete and Olympic medallist Frank Busemann inspired us with a motivational talk about the decathlon. He spoke to us about the many parallels between elite sport and everyday working life.
His message was as simple as it was apt: success rarely comes from perfection in a single discipline. What matters most are perseverance, a willingness to constantly adapt to new challenges, and a supportive environment. These are values that also shape our day-to-day collaboration.
Afterwards, we used the small amphitheatre on campus for an open discussion. Together, we took a close look at the future: we discussed ideas and developed new inspiration for our collaboration.
Teamwork in the climbing garden and during the ‘decathlon’
Following the theoretical input, it was time for some sport. Various team challenges awaited us at BeachMitte. Our teamwork was put to the test both in the climbing garden and during a mini ‘decathlon’ featuring various small tasks.
Whether belaying on the climbing structures or cheering from the sidelines: everywhere you looked, you could sense how naturally we support one another. It is precisely these shared experiences that build trust and forge bonds that extend far beyond the actual working day.
Wrapping up together at the “Beach”
Some of us rounded off our team event with a round of mini-golf. Meanwhile, several teams were locked in thrilling beach volleyball and table tennis matches. A varied buffet, plenty of conversation and group board games (not least nerve-wracking Jenga duels) ensured a relaxed end to the two days.
The next morning, everyone set off for home with lots of new impressions, fresh motivation and a strengthened team spirit.
Conclusion
Two days full of exchange, inspiration and shared experiences have once again shown just how valuable face-to-face encounters are. We were particularly delighted to welcome so many new colleagues to our team again this year.
Our team continues to grow, and with it the diversity of ideas, experiences and perspectives. The team event once again made it clear: our success is based not only on expertise, but above all on a strong team that grows together and motivates one another.
